About Me
A lifetime of travel
I grew up overseas, living in 7 different countries as my family joined my father on his assignments with the U.S. Department of State. That experience with varied countries and cultures formed the foundation of my love of travel. Arriving somewhere new and unfamiliar feels familiar and exciting to me! I've now visited 19 countries, and I always look forward to heading off to new places, exploring and expanding my knowledge of the world.
My solo travel journey
After years of traveling with family, I took my first solo trip to celebrate a work promotion, planning a long weekend in London. I spent a wonderful few days concentrating on my own interests, without having to take any one else's needs or opinions into account. It left me feeling capable and engaged with life in a whole new way, and I returned from that trip with an unexpected sense of liberation. I still love to travel with my family, but I look forward to my solo adventures and the chance to expand my horizons and refresh my perspective on myself and the world.
Why i'm starting my solo adventure
I believe all women deserve an adventure! And I know that choosing a destination, doing the research and staying on top of the details isn't everyone's idea of fun. I love travel, and I also love planning. And I love planning travel most of all!
I've been an Executive Assistant for over 20 years, managing complex business travel for demanding executives. Now I'm also a professional travel advisor, using my travel planning and management skills to help my clients have fun, fascinating, fulfilling and hassle-free solo adventures!
